Notes E2E

Key & sync to another device

There is one secret key to this workspace, kept only in this browser. Everything else is derived from it on your device — the storage address, the access token sent to our servers, and the encryption key, which never leaves this device and is never sent to us. That is what makes your notes end-to-end encrypted. Anyone holding this key can read and edit your notes. The sync link below carries the key in the URL fragment (after the #), which is never sent to our servers — but sending the link to someone still lets them in. Opening the link does not publish your notes; it simply grants access to whoever has it, so treat it like a password.

Export is an unencrypted CSV backup — keep it safe.

Opening the sync link on another device adopts this key there and then scrubs it from its address bar. There is no “forgot password” reset: lose the key without a saved copy (or a notes.csv export) and the notes are unrecoverable — that is the price of nobody-but-you access.

Private notes & tasks — no account, auto-saved. End-to-end encrypted: the key is kept only in this browser and never leaves your device, so the operators of this service cannot read your notes. Because of that, clearing site data without saving your sync link loses access. About Notes →
